About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver instrumentation system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for oil and gas industry projects
Ensure instrumentation and control systems are designed, inspected, and installed in compliance with applicable codes and standards
Review, supervise, and approve EPC contractor control and instrumentation engineering content as required
Ensure third-party control, electrical, and instrumentation engineering contractors/suppliers adhere to project technical specifications
Select instrument materials and develop fabrication and installation procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate safety systems reliably with process control systems
Supervise inspection, installation, and testing of system performance
Ensure instrument systems are installed and maintained safely and efficiently

Requirements

What you’ll need

Familiarity with EP, EPC and EPCM project structures
Knowledge of instrumentation and control system codes and standards, including ISA, IEC, and NEC
Experience designing control systems and sizing/selecting instruments and cables
Experience preparing P&IDs, systems/technical specifications/POs, datasheets, installation details, and loop drawings for instrumentation electrical and communication equipment
Experience evaluating safety system designs, including HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA
Experience supervising inspection, installation, and system performance testing
Technical diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or greater
Experience in electrical and telecom is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation and SmartPlant 3D
