About the role

  • Plan and allocate discipline resources to projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules and quality.
  • Monitor performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, partners and other internal disciplines (controls, substation civil engineering, etc.).
  • Provide technical leadership for electrical switchgear projects (medium and high voltage).
  • Mentor and support engineers and technicians in the design, verification and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Participate in project planning, review of plans and specifications, and cost estimation.
  • Oversee technical assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards (Hydro-Québec, CSA, etc.).
  • Take part in recruiting, onboarding and developing team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Licensed member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including time in engineering consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of standards and codes applicable to electrical switchgear.
  • Proven experience in medium and high voltage, including Hydro-Québec specifications.
  • Technical leadership, strong organizational skills and the ability to mobilize a team.
