About the role
- Participate in the planning and execution of geotechnical investigations:
- Boreholes and probing
- Soil and rock sampling
- Installation of observation wells and piezometers
- In-situ testing (e.g., Standard Penetration Tests, permeability tests)
- Supervise laboratory testing and ensure the quality of collected data.
- Prepare technical reports and geotechnical analyses.
- Collaborate with EXP’s multidisciplinary teams to support infrastructure, building and land-use projects.
- Assist in preparing service proposals and estimating costs for geotechnical studies.
- Provide technical follow-up and ensure compliance of fieldwork.
- Other related duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering or another relevant field.
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset).
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of conventional geotechnical methods and soil classification.
- ASP construction card.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation for site travel.
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken.
