About the role

  • Carry out environmental site assessments or environmental characterizations (Phase I, II & III)
  • You will be partially assigned to municipal projects
  • Manage monitoring mandates during environmental remediation works
  • Conduct environmental monitoring
  • Prepare technical documentation and various reports
  • Participate in preparing service proposals
  • Prepare work programs
  • Contribute to the preparation of environmental technical plans and specifications
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation and execution of on-site works
  • Provide technical support to other team professionals and environmental technicians
  • Any other duties related to the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, civil engineering, geological engineering, or other equivalent qualification
  • Member of the Ordre des Géologues du Québec (OGQ) or the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Membership in AQVE (an asset)
  • Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and practice standards (notably the RPRT, RVMR and the Intervention Guide) of the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork as required
  • Versatile and willing to work on a variety of project types
  • Possession of the Construction Site Health and Safety card (ASP)
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Team-oriented and proactive.
