About the role

  • Lead Life Sciences solution creation—from ideation to market delivery—building differentiated offerings that address critical industry needs in R&D, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial operations.
  • Own revenue growth targets across LS specific solutions.
  • Partner with CXO level clients and internal teams to design innovative, insight-driven solutions that leverage digital platforms, AI, and data science to accelerate innovation and improve outcomes.
  • Act as a strategic interface with senior level industry clients, identifying unmet needs and converting them into executable, repeatable solution frameworks and blueprints.
  • Drive collaborative co-creation sessions and innovation workshops with customers to validate concepts and tailor solutions to real-world challenges.
  • Partner with technology and analytics teams to define solution architecture, data models, and technology enablement requirements.
  • Collaborate with corporate strategy, business development, and marketing teams to position new solutions for commercialization, including value propositions, ROI models, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain deep awareness of emerging market trends—such as precision medicine, decentralized clinical trials, supply chain resilience, and digital therapeutics—to anticipate customer needs and guide solution design.
  • Cultivate a strong ecosystem of technology and data partners to expand EXL’s Life Sciences capabilities and accelerate innovation delivery.
  • Support client pursuits as the Life Sciences solutions SME, contributing to proposals, workshops, and executive presentations.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Life Sciences innovation, strategy, or solution design, with deep expertise spanning R&D, supply chain, or commercialization.
  • Proven track record of developing or launching industry solutions or platforms for biopharma, biotech, or medtech clients.
  • Deep understanding of the Life Sciences value chain, regulatory environment, and evolving digital health landscape.
  • Strategic consulting background strongly preferred (Big 4, boutique Life Sciences advisory, or equivalent), with ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate strategic concepts into actionable solutions
  • Excellent executive communication, storytelling, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Business (MBA, MS, Ph.D.) preferred.
