About the role

  • Design, build, and optimise SQL queries to extract, analyse, and validate insurance data
  • Work with business users and product owners to gather and document requirements
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and translate business needs into user stories
  • Prepare and maintain BRDs, FSDs, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
  • Maintain version control and documentation in Confluence
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, and Architecture
  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT support
  • Ensure end-to-end requirement traceability in Jira
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, and impacts proactively

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical BA
  • Strong experience with Jira and Confluence
  • API understanding
  • Experience with Postman
  • Ability to create detailed process flows and wireframes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of SDLC & Agile methodologies
  • Good SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge on Senator/Subscribe/Acumen (any of them) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek) is a plus
