About the role
- Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect potential threats or breaches.
- Analyze and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Investigate and document security incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Support security awareness training and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and risk teams to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 6–9 years of experience in cybersecurity, threat analysis, or information security.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM tools, and network protocols.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP (preferred).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple security incidents simultaneously.
