Events

• Oversee and execute all alumni and donor specific social media channels under the guidance of the Office of Advancement and in alignment with University Marketing and Communications (UMC).
• Manage print and digital communications, including email campaigns, the Viking Voice, event invitations, and North Parker alumni notes.
• Direct the creative development of promotional materials such as scholarship folders, student calendars, holiday cards, and stewardship video productions.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director as well as the Stewardship and Impact Manager to map out a comprehensive communication strategy; develop and track key metrics to demonstrate progress toward engagement goals.
• Manage University and Seminary web pages and print communications in coordination with UMC to ensure brand consistency.
• Plan and execute alumni and stewardship events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale reunions.
• Lead all event components, including invitations, speaker programming, guest communication, vendor relations, and on-site management.
• Project manage high-profile events such as Homecoming and the Golden Circle; support the Annual Giving Manager in the development of Blue and Gold Day.
• Maintain the organization and inventory of alumni engagement supplies, archival materials, and event signage.
• Serve as a bridge between university departments and student organizations to foster partnerships that support student and post-graduate success.
• Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders (alumni leaders, donors, and volunteers) and internal partners (faculty, staff, and administrators) to meet annual fundraising and engagement targets.
• Actively contribute to department-wide projects and collaborative initiatives as needed. Work in tandem with all advancement team members to ensure event execution is aligned to overarching advancement and alumni goals.
• Curate unique, organic, and informal community experiences tailored to diverse alumni stakeholder groups.
• Utilize Design Thinking principles to iterate on new engagement ideas and rapidly implement learnings.
• Collaborate with the engagement team to support student leader/worker programs, facilitating meaningful interaction between current students and alumni.

Events and Communications Manager

Manager

• Working closely with the Senior Director of Engagement and the Events and Communications Manager, the Stewardship and Impact Manager will design and lead a comprehensive donor stewardship program.
• Overseeing the endowed scholarships lifecycle as well as University giving societies.
• Implement a comprehensive stewardship plan that prioritizes customized and transparent donor recognition and giving societies.
• Direct the stewardship of scholarship donors by coordinating with student recipients, Admissions, the Business Office, and Financial Aid.
• Strengthen and manage Giving Society engagement by defining clear criteria, recognition benefits, and communication pathways.
• Develop annual donor impact reports highlighting student outcomes and fund utilization.
• Execute personalized acknowledgment strategies, utilizing video software and other digital tools to express timely thanks to alumni and donors.
• Assist in the cultivation and stewardship of prospects for campus-partner crowdfunding initiatives.
• Support the donor engagement aspect of signature peer-to-peer campaigns.
• Develop targeted strategies to recognize and appreciate alumni and donor groups who have been historically underrepresented or less recognized.
• Manage the stewardship budget in collaboration with the Advancement Operations Manager ensuring strategic resource allocation.

Stewardship and Impact Manager

• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual giving strategy aligned with institutional fundraising goals.
• Establish an annual plan for cultivation, solicitation, and general stewardship of everyday donors.
• Integrate annual giving efforts with major gifts, donor stewardship, and engagement strategies to strengthen the donor pipeline.
• Lead and project manage all annual giving campaigns, including digital, direct mail, email, phone, crowdfunding, and flash campaigns.
• Partner with Prospect Strategy Manager to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, donor behavior, and key fundraising metrics to inform strategy.
• Continuously optimize campaigns using data-driven insights and best practices.
• Build and strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, and friends to increase philanthropic engagement and retention.
• Oversee strategies for donor segmentation, engagement, and marketing giving societies within annual giving.
• Partner with the Stewardship and Impact Manager to ensure meaningful and consistent donor stewardship.
• Manage a portfolio of 10-25 leadership-level donors, bridging annual and major gifts by identifying prospects for pipeline growth.
• Partner with Advancement colleagues and campus collaborators to promote a culture of philanthropy and engagement.
• Serve as a strategic partner in an Engagement Center, supporting innovative approaches to constituent outreach and cultivation.
• Provide guidance and input on student worker roles and engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with the Advancement Operations team to support database maintenance, reporting, and prospect data needs.
• Serve as a liaison to internal and external partners, including University Marketing & Communications, North Park Theological Seminary, business office and financial aid, athletics, and external vendors such as freelance creators and printers.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness across all fundraising operations and communications.
