About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and supervise all professional and auxiliary nursing personnel to ensure services are provided with the highest standard of care
- Develop, implement, and maintain a patient-centered care plan for each client
- Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations to ensure patient needs are met and care plans are effective
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a team of qualified and compassionate nurses and caregivers
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff
- Lead in-service education and continuing education programs to keep the team up-to-date with best practices and regulatory changes
- Ensure all clinical operations are in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead the agency's quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, and oversee the integrity of the clinical documentation system
- Collaborate with the General Manager and executive team in strategic planning, policy formulation, and budget management
- Foster strong communication and collaboration between clinical staff, clients, family members, and other healthcare providers
- Participate in community outreach and marketing efforts to promote the agency’s services
Requirements
What you’ll need- A graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred
- Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Mississippi
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a home health or similar healthcare setting
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a proven track record of managing and motivating a clinical team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of federal and state home health regulations
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software
