About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Actively prospect to develop a portfolio of small, founder-led businesses and retail business assets for sale, leveraging existing partnerships
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business owners and leaders
  • Participate in the valuation and assessment of businesses and business assets (analysis of operations and growth potential)
  • Identify potential buyers, qualify them and arrange introductions
  • Help build and maintain a pipeline of prospective buyers
  • Conduct site visits and support parties during negotiations
  • Manage transactions through to signing (preliminary agreements and final sales contracts)
  • Provide full client support throughout the transaction process
  • Maintain active market monitoring and intelligence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in sales, negotiation or transaction roles (business assets, real estate)
  • Strong preference for fieldwork and proactive prospecting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
  • Good understanding of the business world (B2B)
  • Interest in new technologies and curiosity about emerging digital trends
  • Autonomous, tenacious and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
