Bookkeeper

• Maintain and manage the firms general ledger using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, client billing, and reconciliation of all bank and trust accounts
• Prepare and manage trust account reconciliations in accordance with legal accounting rules and regulations
• Process client invoices, retainers, and settlements while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, generating balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
• Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and financial reporting requirements
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure financial records align with case activity and client accounts
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial data
• Assist with process improvements and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations
