About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Builds solid relationships with partners and within organization.
Understands company services to identify and assess qualified business opportunities.
Sources, reviews, and responds to grant and other funding opportunities.
Research new funding sources at local, state, and federal levels as well as with corporate and private foundations.
Identify, compile, describe, organize, analyze, and present data and information for business projects and grant proposals.
Analyze RFP opportunities, summarize key findings, and facilitate team-based discussion with senior staff in making decisions about whether to pursue funding opportunities and coordinate response, if applicable.
Attend bidder’s conferences and technical assistance workshops as necessary.
Tracks and reports funding opportunities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, English, health science, public administration, business, communications, public health or related field.
Demonstrated success in obtaining grant driven funding and proven ability to research grant prospects for proposal writing.
2 years of grant writing experience.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications and digital research tools including AI.
Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals.
Strong editing skills.
Ability to work well independently under pressure and manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Highly organized, self-motivated, positive and strong interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Upholds the principles of ethical conduct.
A basic knowledge of substance use disorders and their effects on individuals, families, and communities.
Intermediate knowledge of government organization and administration.
Intermediate knowledge of foundation and government funding streams and cycles.
