About the role
- Use predictive and prescriptive analytical techniques to enable leadership to make informed decisions
- Gather and analyze data from a variety of public sources (such as IPEDS) and private sources (Lightcast)
- Uses various data analytics tools to clean, manipulate, and transform data for analysis
- Work closely with a senior leadership to create concise and informative summaries of analytical reports that support the efforts of our strategic goals
- Communicate with data through written and oral reports, using data visualization techniques to present findings in a manner that can be easily understood by nontechnical audiences
- Promote data stewardship and data quality.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required, from an accredited institution in business, analytics, statistics, finance, or related empirical research field
- Higher education experience is preferred
- Experience with financial analysis, business development, sales, B2B, or academic partnership data is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the higher education landscape, particularly online education, and familiarity with trends and challenges in this space
- Demonstrated ability to cogently summarize project findings and their implications, both orally and in written reports
- Three or more years of relevant experience.
- Analytical mindset and comfort with explaining quantitative analysis
- Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and follow through
- Skill and experience with data analysis and large data sets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to convey project goals, requirements, and results effectively and positively
- Comfortable working with college leadership on a frequent basis
- Ability to design, analyze and model business opportunities and processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Python and SQL is preferred for this position.
