About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement version control best practices, ensuring all application code, system configurations, and infrastructure code are stored in repositories.
  • Develop deployment automation for infrastructure, applications, and security changes using modern scripting tools.
  • Build and manage Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to ensure rapid feedback on code changes.
  • Apply trunk-based development strategies to maintain short-lived branches and streamlined workflows.
  • Create and manage test automation suites for infrastructure and security features.
  • Support test data management, collaborating with security, data science, and software development teams to optimize automated testing environments.
  • Integrate security automation into DevOps pipelines, collaborating with InfoSec teams to implement preapproved security libraries and tools.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to internal and external teams.
  • Contribute to Agile team planning and execution of DevOps initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, C#).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI.
  • Command-line skills with Bash or PowerShell for operating system management with skills in package management, service configuration, logging, process/resource monitoring, and network configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Packer).
  • Experience deploying and securing infrastructure on AWS or Azure.
  • Experience creating, deploying, and orchestrating code changes using tools such as: Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Elastic Container Service.
  • Relevant work experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure. Should demonstrate skill with network and access security and the deployment via code of modern web and data applications and their constituent infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DORA metrics and continuous delivery best practices.
