About the role

  • Manage end-to-end AR operations including invoicing, collections, aging analysis, and dispute resolution for IT/service-based billing models.
  • Ensure accurate billing based on timesheets, contracts, rate cards, and milestones.
  • Monitor AR aging and drive collection efficiency to improve cash flow.
  • Coordinate with sales, delivery, and project teams to resolve billing and collection issues.
  • Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial closure.
  • Handle journal entries, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
  • Oversee timesheet tracking, validation, and approvals across projects and resources.
  • Ensure timesheet data integrity for accurate billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports, many of which are manual due to system limitations.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources for management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust Excel-based reports, trackers, and dashboards.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of reports to leadership.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in AR for IT organizations
  • Solid understanding of R2R processes and financial close cycles
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience working in manual or Excel-heavy reporting environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, delivery, HR, and leadership
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
