About the role

  • Own the full product lifecycle for client-facing trading APIs.
  • Define product roadmap, requirements, technical specifications and success criteria.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent API behavior and high performance across FIX, WebSocket, and HTTP interfaces.
  • Maintain API documentation, protocol guidelines and versioning standards.
  • Work closely with backend, trading engines and market data systems to ensure:
  • Low-latency and reliable execution,
  • API stability under high load,
  • Backward compatibility and smooth client onboarding.
  • Support integration with client systems, liquidity providers, and trading partners.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, trading workflows, and best execution requirements.
  • Monitor performance, usage, reliability to guide continuous improvement.
  • Communicate updates, roadmap status, and technical details to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in fintech or trading platforms.
  • Extensive experience with trading APIs:
  • FIX Protocol (order flow, execution reports, sessions).
  • HTTP/REST and WebSocket APIs for trading, market data, static data.
  • Experience working with trading bridges/gateways, liquidity providers and order routing systems.
  • Strong understanding of order types, instrument types, execution logic and rejection handling.
  • Practical experience creating and maintaining API documentation.
  • Fluent English.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
