About the role
- Participate as a contributing member of the Software Bioinformatics team
- Collaborate with Pipeline Technical Leads, Software Engineers, Infrastructure Leads, and Data Scientists
- Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge bioinformatics pipelines
- Contribute to the development and optimization of bioinformatics pipelines
- Collect and document product and software requirements
- Assist with the development of Python programs of medium to high complexity
- Maintain accurate documentation of programs and procedures
- Assist with the integration of software components into pipelines
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in science, life sciences, computer science, or a field related to the essential duties
- Preference given to candidates with a record of outstanding academic achievement
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
