About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage a team of up to 10 accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment approvals, vendor management, and month-end close activities
Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems used for accounts payable
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and negotiating payment terms when necessary
Establish and monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls related to accounts payable operations
Generate regular reports and analyses to provide insights into accounts payable performance, trends, and risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Strong experience in progressive experience in accounts payable, with experience in a supervisory or managerial role
Extensive knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures
Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems is required
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence in accounts payable functions
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
