About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel
  • Build and customize Shopify themes and storefronts, leveraging Liquid and Shopify APIs
  • Integrate Shopify with backend services and third-party systems
  • Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable code following best software engineering practices
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve performance across e-commerce applications
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack or Backend Developer
  • Strong, hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments
  • Solid experience working with Shopify, including custom themes, Liquid templating, and API integrations
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the context of e-commerce applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality and maintainability
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1) — able to collaborate with international teams
  • Nice to Have (Important): Experience with ReactJS for modern frontend development
  • Experience building or integrating services using NodeJS
