About the role
- Develop and execute Evotec's sustainability strategy
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CPO and Management Board
- Identify and drive innovation opportunities in sustainable science and operations
- Integrate sustainability priorities into business operations and cultural initiatives
- Collaborate with Finance and Risk for enterprise risk management
- Design and implement sustainability governance structures
- Lead sustainability materiality assessments and impact analyses
- Develop sustainability-specific KPIs and dashboards
- Oversee sustainability disclosures and reporting
- Partner with Operations and Facilities to support climate strategy
- Collaborate with Procurement and Quality on sustainability initiatives
- Monitor market trends and customer feedback regarding sustainability
Requirements
- Proven multi-year track record in ESG, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility
- Experience leading cross-functional sustainability programs in a regulated, innovation-driven industry
- Familiarity with sustainable innovation frameworks
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of sustainability-related financial instruments and investor expectations
- Experience in integrating sustainability into business strategy and operations
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
