About the role

  • Proactively identify and qualify new leads for Evotec’s contract services.
  • Take ownership of smaller pipeline opportunities (academic & Biotech sectors) from first contact to signed contract.
  • Increase Evotec’s visibility and recognition in your territory by participating in client meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Spend 40–50% of your time in the field with clients under guidance from senior BD staff, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Support the implementation of sales and marketing plans for the territory as part of a regional team of BD professionals.
  • Work closely with Operations and Marketing to support project onboarding and client satisfaction.
  • Track account activity, maintain CRM data, and provide market feedback to senior management.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the life sciences, biotech, or contract research industry (CRO highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with drug discovery pathways (academic or industry exposure acceptable).
  • A self-motivated and target driven individual with a strong desire to push deals to closure.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, conduct client research, and craft initial recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative mindset.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and developing a career in business development within the life sciences sector.
