About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure opportunities with public and private sector clients in Canada and the United States, including web design and development projects, ongoing enhancement and support engagements, as well as audits and training focused on growth and value.
- Leverage inbound leads and plan/execute outbound activities through proactive and creative prospecting.
- Collaborate with technology and commercial partners to jointly develop leads and opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, responding to RFIs/RFPs, presentations and contract negotiation, following a structured, cadence-driven process.
- Be accountable for a revenue target that directly contributes to the company’s growth objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients by sharing trends, insights and best practices to help them stay competitive.
- Develop and approve project briefs, providing direction and guidance to account and project teams.
- Regularly participate in industry events in Montreal and across North America, leveraging market knowledge and prospects to build a community around our work.
- Lead and take part in presentations and other activities aimed at strengthening agency-client relationships.
- Provide clear and concise updates to clients and agency leadership.
- Forecast and track key account performance indicators, reporting on account health and ongoing opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of account-related activities using CRM tools and client intelligence reports.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an agency or professional services environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and address client needs in the context of agency services.
- Proven expertise in new business development.
- Strong knowledge of digital best practices, technologies and trends — experience with Drupal, WordPress or other open-source technologies is an asset.
- Experience managing client relationships and serving as an escalation point.
- Comfortable with public speaking, event participation and delivering presentations.
- Ability to set objectives and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.
