About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive DevOps transformation through CI/CD pipeline design and optimization, Kubernetes container orchestration strategy, and reliable cloud infrastructure patterns.
Architect secure infrastructure with secrets management, least-privilege IAM, vulnerability scanning, and compliance guardrails.
Apply and critically evaluate AI-assisted development tooling for platform work and responsible AI use.
Own platform reliability by setting SLOs/SLAs, leading incident response, and reducing MTTD/MTTR through observability and alerting.
Design scalable Terraform/Pulumi infrastructure-as-code modules and address systemic technical debt.
Define platform architecture across multiple teams and domains and align it with engineering and organizational strategy.
Deliver high-leverage solutions using emerging platform technologies.
Optimize cloud architecture across reliability, cost, and performance.
Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and change management.
Mentor senior engineers through code review, architectural guidance, documentation, recruiting, and team development.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8-12+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
Strong container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and Docker
CI/CD pipeline design and optimization using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
Cloud platform expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure, including architecture, cost optimization, and IAM
Experience with observability tooling such as Sumo, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
Track record improving reliability metrics including MTTD/MTTR and uptime
Security-conscious infrastructure design involving secrets management, least privilege, vulnerability scanning, and compliance awareness
Strong proficiency using AI tools for code development, triage, and maintenance, with ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or Bash
Experience driving cross-functional technical initiatives and organizational adoption
Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure considerations
Experience owning production reliability for a business-critical service
Strong debugging skills and ability to find solutions to complex problems
