About the role
- Architect, design, and direct execution of assigned electrical engineering projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop system architecture, specifications, verification testing, and troubleshooting
- Translate product requirements into design specifications
- Hands-on electronics design integrating electromechanical and software subsystems
- Perform detailed electrical and firmware design, including analog, digital, power supply, power electronics, timing and PLLs, and low-noise PCB design
- Create and maintain test protocols and oversee testing execution and documentation
- Maintain traceability matrix between requirements, design, specifications, and testing
- Partner with QA and manufacturing to analyze yield and field data and implement hardware improvements
- Prepare and present technical and design reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a subject matter expert
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and optimizing electrical systems
- Experience with analog, digital, power supply, power electronics, timing and PLLs, and low-noise PCB design
- Mastery in contemporary tools for simulation, CAD, analysis, and documentation
- Experience creating and maintaining test protocols for design verification and validation
- Experience overseeing execution of testing and documenting results
- Experience creating traceability matrices between requirements, design, specifications, and testing
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, regulatory, service and quality
- Ability to translate product requirements into design specifications
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to peer reviews
- Subject Matter Expert level experience in Electrical Engineering (senior level)
- Willingness to participate in product builds at contract manufacturers and site installations
