About the role

Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex data solutions, ensuring scalability and maintainability
Architect and implement high-performance data pipelines and data warehousing solutions that support critical business functions
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and other engineers, to translate business needs into technical data solutions
Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best coding practices
Mentor and coach junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Identify and implement improvements to the data engineering lifecycle, including automation, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues, working to ensure high availability and reliability of data services
Evaluate and integrate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve data engineering processes and team productivity
Drive the technical vision for data projects, contributing to architectural discussions and long-term planning

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of professional data engineering experience
Expertise in database design and optimization for both SQL and NoSQL databases
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, SQL, or Java
Deep understanding of data architecture patterns, such as data warehousing, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling
Experience with data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Redshift)
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues quickly
Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions, present to stakeholders, and write detailed documentation
Ability to undergo identity verification, submit government-issued photo ID, complete comprehensive background check, in-person I-9 verification, and possible drug screening
Mandatory: high-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps and ability to set up a wired home network connection
