About the role

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining installers, update mechanisms, and deployment solutions for software products
  • Ensuring applications can be installed and updated reliably, securely, and in a user-friendly manner
  • Designing and creating installation and update packages
  • Creating and maintaining MSI, EXE, or container-based installation solutions
  • Automating build and deployment processes
  • Integrating setup processes into CI/CD pipelines
  • Working closely with software development, QA, and IT operations teams
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with code signing and certificate management
  • Adhering to internal standards and external regulations

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience developing installation routines (e.g. InstallShield or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of build systems (e.g. MSBuild)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. C#, C++, PowerShell)
  • In-depth knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN)
  • Understanding of Windows system architectures
  • Experience with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
  • Strong process-oriented mindset
  • Good command of English and conversational German
