About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing, developing, and maintaining installers, update mechanisms, and deployment solutions for software products
Ensuring applications can be installed and updated reliably, securely, and in a user-friendly manner
Designing and creating installation and update packages
Creating and maintaining MSI, EXE, or container-based installation solutions
Automating build and deployment processes
Integrating setup processes into CI/CD pipelines
Working closely with software development, QA, and IT operations teams
Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements
Experience with code signing and certificate management
Adhering to internal standards and external regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Experience developing installation routines (e.g. InstallShield or similar tools)
Knowledge of build systems (e.g. MSBuild)
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. C#, C++, PowerShell)
In-depth knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN)
Understanding of Windows system architectures
Experience with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
Strong process-oriented mindset
Good command of English and conversational German
