About the role
- As Product Owner for AdmissionCare, you will drive the strategic direction and tactical execution of our flagship product that helps clinicians determine and document appropriate bed status at admission.
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for AdmissionCare in alignment with platform strategy
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, and executive leadership to identify market opportunities and set product priorities
- Develop comprehensive business cases for major product initiatives, including success metrics, ROI projections, and resource requirements
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform strategic product decisions
- Serve as the voice of the customer, translating clinical needs into actionable product strategy
- Write detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria, technical requirements, and design specifications
- Create wireframes, design mocks, and prototypes to communicate feature requirements to stakeholders
- Partner with technical leads and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization sessions
- Participate in quality assurance testing aligned with sprint and deployment cycles
- Ensure all stakeholders have clear understanding of requirements and expected outcomes
- Support new customer implementations and guide onboarding processes
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot production issues for existing customers
- Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback to inform product roadmap
- Analyze customer usage patterns and identify opportunities for product improvements
- Build strong relationships with key clinical users and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5 years of product management or product ownership experience in healthcare software
- Demonstrated track record designing and building clinical software applications
- Experience translating clinical user needs into technical product requirements
- Proven ability to manage product roadmaps and prioritize features based on business value
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare delivery systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage both technical and clinical audiences
- Ability to write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams in agile development environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with ability to take ownership while working collaboratively
