About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive revenue growth across an assigned territory through customer expansion and new business acquisition
  • Own and grow a portfolio of existing customers through cross-sell, upsell, and increased product adoption
  • Develop and execute territory plans focused on high-potential accounts and strategic growth initiatives
  • Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers across schools, districts, and educational organizations
  • Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities in prospective, low-spend, and dormant accounts
  • Execute prospecting through phone, email, social selling, events, referrals, and targeted outreach
  • Partner with Marketing and SDR teams on inbound and marketing-generated leads
  • Build pipeline supporting quarterly and annual bookings targets
  • Manage opportunities from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Use the MEDDPICC framework to qualify and advance opportunities
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, business cases, and proposals aligned with customer objectives
  • Forecast accurately and maintain visibility into opportunity progression, risks, and growth potential
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Product, Customer Success, and Implementation teams on deal execution and customer outcomes
  • Develop multi-threaded account relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Support retention efforts with Customer Success and Renewal teams
  • Communicate customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive insights internally
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue, pipeline, and activity targets
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce opportunity, account, and forecasting data
  • Monitor pipeline health, territory performance, and customer engagement metrics
  • Participate in conferences, customer events, webinars, and networking opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3+ years of experience in SaaS, EdTech, business development, account management, or consultative sales
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue through customer expansion and new business acquisition
  • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process from prospecting through close
  • Strong prospecting, relationship-building, discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for pipeline and forecasting
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple accounts, opportunities, and competing demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels
  • Ability to analyze territory performance and use data to guide sales strategy and activity planning
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territories as needed
  • Experience selling SaaS or EdTech solutions to K-12 or Higher Education organizations (desirable)
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC or other structured sales methodologies (desirable)
  • Experience managing account growth and net-new customer acquisition (desirable)
  • Experience developing multi-threaded relationships within educational organizations (desirable)
  • Understanding of educational funding cycles, purchasing processes, and district decision-making structures (desirable)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Communications, or related field (desirable)
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for research, prospecting, workflow efficiency, and sales productivity (desirable)
