About the role

  • Own and evolve our end-to-end testing strategy, with a strong emphasis on Playwright as our primary automation framework.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test suites that cover critical user workflows across our web applications.
  • Partner closely with product and engineering teams to define test coverage, acceptance criteria, and quality expectations early in the development lifecycle.
  • Execute and guide manual, exploratory, and regression testing to complement automated coverage where appropriate.
  • Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and impact to ensure timely resolution.
  • Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipelines, helping ensure fast feedback and high confidence in releases.
  • Serve as a quality resource for product development and support teams, assisting with triaging production issues and investigating root causes from a quality perspective.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or quality engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or a similar automated testing framework, using JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, writing, and maintaining scalable, reliable automated test suites for web applications.
  • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals including functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
  • Experience testing modern web applications, with a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and communicating defects with clear reproduction steps and impact.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, and designers in an agile environment.
  • Experience with API testing and validating backend services (Playwright API testing, Postman, REST tools).
  • Familiarity with Cucumber or behavior-driven development.
  • Experience using modern AI tools to support testing, debugging, or documentation workflows.
