About the role

  • Completing activities and assignments associated with the design and operation of protection and control systems
  • Analyzing protection system operations and providing support to operations on unplanned maintenance
  • Sharing accountability with peers in planning, project management, substation engineering, operations, and maintenance organizations
  • Reviewing and evaluating proposed changes to existing electric facilities
  • Creating new Protection and Control system designs in accordance with Eversource Standards
  • Performing coordination studies by modeling and analyzing electric system elements
  • Managing and performing work activities in a self-sufficient manner

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Individuals with a focus in electric power systems engineering are preferred
  • Minimum of zero (0) to three (3) years of related Electrical Engineering experience
  • Protection and Controls experience is preferred, including overcurrent and distance coordination studies with ASPEN Oneliner modeling software or equivalent
  • Experience with AutoCAD and PDF software for creating and marking up drawings
