About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical analysis, advice, and support to customers for electric and natural gas energy efficiency projects
Participate in the development of program and implementation plans for energy efficiency programs
Review technical parameters and confirm that projects conform to engineering standards and energy codes
Perform energy analysis to determine energy savings
Provide guidance to ensure projects yield measurable energy savings
Conduct inspections of equipment and operations in alignment with energy savings calculations
Collaborate with third parties and customers for energy efficiency program implementation
Conduct detailed analysis of high efficiency HVAC equipment, motors, and lighting systems
Provide training and support services for energy efficiency team and program marketing activities
Support Eversource in national energy efficiency conferences and stakeholder events

Requirements

What you’ll need

Baccalaureate degree in engineering
3+ years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical role
Knowledge of building systems including HVAC equipment, air handlers, pumps, motors, and VFDs
Ability to review building plans showing HVAC, lighting, and control systems
Familiarity with local energy codes
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Licenses & Certifications: Engineer in Training (EIT), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional is preferred.
