About the role
- Leads a team of analytics professionals
- Oversees the development and delivery of strategic reporting, advanced analytics, and productivity improvement initiatives across the gas business
- Ensures high-quality, actionable insights that support long-term planning, regulatory compliance, and productivity goals
- Maintains deep proficiency in gas business reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, Maximo, MWM)
- Collaborates with business areas to identify and implement data-driven process improvements
- Oversees the design, build, and maintenance of performance reporting processes and dashboards
- Collects and organizes performance data from multiple sources
- Prepares and delivers data, reports, and presentations to support business improvement initiatives, regulatory responses, and long-term planning
- Conducts internal and external benchmarking studies
- Aligns analytics initiatives with long-term business strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Ten (10) years related experience
- Strong ability to design, build, analyze, and interpret data models using relational databases and data warehouses
- Proficient in SQL for querying and transforming data, and in developing scalable analytics solutions
- Expert-level skills in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, visualization design, and dashboard development
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query, pivot tables, and complex formulas) and other business reporting software
- Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities, with the ability to conceptualize complex business problems and translate them into actionable insights
- Skilled in using process analysis tools to identify inefficiencies and implement productivity improvements across business areas
- Deep understanding of the company, industry, and supported business areas
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
