About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and/or modification of a variety of electric system parameters
Conducts adequacy assessments and develops options to meet delivery objectives
Identifies key technical issues and develops solutions
Represents the department and the company on various industry related committees
Collaborates in the implementation and management of the life cycle plan for transmission assets
Communicates clearly and effectively verbally and in writing the results of analyses and action plan

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred
Advanced degree preferred
3 - 5 years of directly related experience
Experience with power system transmission analysis tools such as PSSE, TARA, ASPEN, PSCAD, or other similar analysis software
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python
Knowledge of new technologies including but not limited to photovoltaic solar, electric vehicles, and battery
Knowledge of electrical theory as applied to planning an electric power supply system
Knowledge of National, State and other planning standards and reliability criteria
