Key responsibilities & impact

Plans and performs technical and clerical assignments associated with the Damage Prevention function
Receives, records, and completes Call Before You Dig locations requests
Locates and marks out distribution facilities
Reviews Blasting Tickets and notifies supervisors as necessary
Monitors progress of third-party construction
Uses ticket processing systems to maintain documentation
Completes tickets with proper documentation in a timely manner
Examines gas service installations for conformance to Company standards
Inspects construction sites for compliance with CBYD laws and standards
Attends pre-construction meetings with excavators

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Knowledge of engineering, construction, and maintenance policies, procedures, and standards
Knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations affecting gas distribution
Knowledge of accounting and business procedures
Knowledge of environmental requirements affecting operational activities
Ability to read blueprints and operate computers
Ability to operate electronic pipe locating equipment accurately
Ability to communicate effectively
