About the role
- Eversource is looking for a Lead Project Manager, Transmission in Westwood, MA. This is a Transmission Project Management leadership role.
- Independently manages and advises other project managers on high-risk, high-profile transmission projects in Massachusetts to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
- Developing and mentoring project managers; providing strategic direction to ensure alignment with business goals and solving project issues; overall responsibility for the management of all aspects of projects including the coordination of regulatory approvals and interface with regulators and local elected officials and town department managers; managing the development and process for evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design and construction, as well as for the procurement of material and support systems; and ensuring compliance in all aspects of the regional portfolio are documented and completed in accordance with company policies and all regulations and laws.
- Supports Major Projects and regular travel in Eastern Mass is required.
- Manages planning, engineering, siting/permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning and close out project phases.
- Manages development and participation in required regulatory siting, permit filings and other regulatory filings; environmental assessment and regulatory approvals (federal, state and local);
- Manage development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design, construction and test procurement of material and support systems.
- Manages the team’s development of a comprehensive project plan, schedule, communications plan and establishes the change control methodology.
- Provides clear concise and comprehensive reports for management.
- Provides expert witness testimony for assigned projects at ISO-NE, CSC and other regulatory preceding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or the equivalent degree will be considered or equivalent experience.
- Master’s Degree is preferred; Project Management class work is desirable.
- Ten (10) years of Project Management experience.
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI) is required.
- Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position. Eversource will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.
