About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide advanced legal, business, regulatory, litigation, and competitive intelligence research
  • Design and deliver customized current awareness and self-service programs for attorneys, clients, industries, practice groups, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and tracking solutions for legal developments, regulatory changes, litigation activity, client news, market trends, and competitor intelligence
  • Partner with attorneys and business professionals to integrate research materials into existing workflows and recommend workflow improvements
  • Evaluate, test, and help implement new research, knowledge management, and AI technologies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on research strategy, intelligence gathering, and emerging legal technologies
  • Collaborate with Innovation, Marketing and Business Development, IT, and other departments on strategic initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master of Library Science (MLS) from an accredited school
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal research, analysis, and information resources
  • Strong analytical, communication, and consultative skills
  • Ability to translate attorney and client needs into practical research and intelligence solutions
  • Familiarity with AI-powered research tools, legal research platforms, Microsoft 365, and knowledge management technologies
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred
  • Preferred experience in a law firm, legal information provider, or professional services environment
  • Preferred experience with competitive intelligence, current awareness, legal technology, workflow automation, or knowledge management
  • Preferred experience evaluating and utilizing generative AI tools within a legal environment
