About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide advanced legal, business, regulatory, litigation, and competitive intelligence research
Design and deliver customized current awareness and self-service programs for attorneys, clients, industries, practice groups, and strategic initiatives
Develop automated monitoring, alerting, and tracking solutions for legal developments, regulatory changes, litigation activity, client news, market trends, and competitor intelligence
Partner with attorneys and business professionals to integrate research materials into existing workflows and recommend workflow improvements
Evaluate, test, and help implement new research, knowledge management, and AI technologies
Serve as a trusted advisor on research strategy, intelligence gathering, and emerging legal technologies
Collaborate with Innovation, Marketing and Business Development, IT, and other departments on strategic initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master of Library Science (MLS) from an accredited school
Demonstrated expertise in legal research, analysis, and information resources
Strong analytical, communication, and consultative skills
Ability to translate attorney and client needs into practical research and intelligence solutions
Familiarity with AI-powered research tools, legal research platforms, Microsoft 365, and knowledge management technologies
Juris Doctor (J.D.) preferred
Preferred experience in a law firm, legal information provider, or professional services environment
Preferred experience with competitive intelligence, current awareness, legal technology, workflow automation, or knowledge management
Preferred experience evaluating and utilizing generative AI tools within a legal environment
