About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serves as lead paralegal on commercial real estate timberland transactions
Drafts closing documents
Coordinates and manages large and complex commercial real estate transactions
Takes lead role in title, legal description and GIS mapping reviews
Maintains checklists and tickler system to ensure due diligence matters are completed
Prepares closing binders and follows-up on outstanding post-closing matters
Utilizes, creates or establishes procedures to organize documents
Maintain files reflecting work product and progress on large projects
Creates and maintains transactional files
Performs other work-related duties as may be assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

4-year College Degree is required
Paralegal Certificate is preferred
Five to Seven years of commercial real estate experience is required
Prior experience with timberland or agricultural properties is highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required
Strong Microsoft Office capabilities (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
