About the role
- Build and maintain fully automated advanced analytics dashboards and reports for clients based on outcomes from transaction monitoring and integration of customer and third-party data
- Conduct trend analysis and forecasting (alert patterns, usage growth, anomaly detection) at scale for clients, geographies, and the portfolio
- Present findings internally and externally to clients; explain reasoning, sources of truth, and reasons for reductions
- Utilize storytelling techniques to create intuitive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations; define and develop Power BI data models
- Ensure data models are robust to support complex analyses; document best practices, data extraction methods, and data sources
- Identify areas for improving data reliability, performance, and quality and propose/implement solutions
- Translate operations and sales requirements into actionable insights
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure data-related regulations and company policies are adhered to by design
- Act as a mentor and develop into a subject matter expert, sharing skills and knowledge with earlier-career BI team members
- Foster collaboration and continuous learning through training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive roadmap prioritization aligned with company goals and monitor progress towards objectives
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required
- Ideally you will have a degree in a maths, science or engineering discipline
- Possesses a structured and analytical mindset, with a natural inclination towards making sense of complex information
- Ability to create visually appealing and insightful dashboards that effectively communicate key metrics and insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Proficient in SQL and Python, with strong automation skills
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) including expertise in dashboard design, development, and administration; Grafana is a plus
- Solid understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data modeling
- Familiarity with Azure and Databricks; Google Cloud a plus
- Experience with time-series data, sensor logs, and operational metrics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel data requests
- Demonstrated interest in learning and a strong desire to expand knowledge in the field of BI analytics
- Eagerness to explore new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance BI analytics skills and capabilities
