About the role
- Manage the Tech Pod from a complete delivery perspective
- Work with your client to ensure project scope and alignment
- Guide your Tech Pod both technically and career-wise
- Develop and use automation tools effectively to operate, manage, and scale production and development environments quickly
- Participate in regular customer and internal EverOps scrums
- Monitor environments while focusing on constant improvement
- Implement new tools and technologies as customer requirements evolve
- Design and execute new solutions while working to improve existing ones
- Provide operational support and project deployments for our customer environments
- Lead production workload migrations with minimal downtime using blue-green and progressive delivery patterns
- Architect and operate multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms at scale
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps, CloudOps, or Site Reliability Engineer
- 3+ years of experience in managing teams and engaging with clients both strategically and tactically
- Hands-on experience and deep understanding of Linux
- Strong hands-on professional experience with either Golang, Python, Ruby, Bash, Typescript, or Rust
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services designing, building, and running highly-available cloud-native environments
- Production experience with Amazon EKS including multi-tenant cluster architecture, namespace isolation, and RBAC models
- Production experience with ArgoCD for GitOps-driven deployments; federated ArgoCD experience strongly preferred
- Production experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management, including integration patterns with Kubernetes (External Secrets Operator or similar)
- Experience migrating production workloads between platforms or clusters with minimal downtime
- Strong understanding of GitOps workflows, repository structures, and governance patterns
- Experience with containerization using Docker and container orchestration at scale
- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of current best practices and principles related to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform + Atlantis and/or CloudFormation)
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Packer, etc.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana
- NoSQL experience with any of the three following databases: Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
- Relational database experience with MySQL or Postgres
