About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Providing day-to-day legal support to Everise’s U.S. and global operations
Serving as a legal advisor on U.S. and global employment matters, including hiring, discipline, performance management, terminations, and reductions in force
Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, ADA, PWFA, FMLA, and state/local leave laws
Advising on employee relations matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and workplace investigations
Drafting and reviewing employment-related documentation
Supporting the management of employment and commercial litigation
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs
Partnering with cross-functional teams on risk mitigation initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor (JD)
Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
2 - 5 years of progressive legal experience
Strong background in employment and labor law (in-house and/or law firm)
Transactional experience, including drafting and negotiating agreements
Experience advising HR and business stakeholders
Prior in-house experience preferred
Experience supporting multi-state or global operations is a plus
