About the role

  • Manage requests from internal and external clients, gathering technical details, documenting requirements, identifying gaps, and providing solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of deployments, including but not limited to software version updates, bug fixes, patches, enhancements, hardware deployment and installation, network configuration, including wireless, Windows Server configuration, team support, and production terminal troubleshooting, development and distribution of software loading guides, and remote management support.
  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner consistent with IGT best practices; develops necessary actions ensuring optimal levels of customer satisfaction that provide appropriate customer support and success.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams, resolving customer issues and delivering timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Serves as a point of contact for communications with programmers, explaining software errors and recommending improvement actions to the development teams.
  • Perform hardware testing and software quality assurance/acceptance testing.
  • Report KPIs of vendor performance.
  • Follow departmental procedures, meeting customer and client needs in an innovative and resourceful manner.
  • Engineer custom solutions for clients, when appropriate.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field, is required.
  • 6-8 years’ experience working with software and hardware, with advanced experience with product, hardware, and system installations.
  • System administration and database experience.
  • Windows Server Administration to support product deployment
  • Networking and Wireless Networking to support product deployment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and network experience in a technical capacity.
