About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

  • Verify window heat pumps are properly sized, installed, and operating safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain the program's inventory of window heat pumps.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Perform post-installation quality assurance inspections.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for customers by answering questions and resolving concerns.
  • Ensure every installation meets program quality standards.
  • Work closely with contractors, program staff, and utility partners to ensure successful delivery of the program.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to inspect mechanical equipment and identify installation issues.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
  • Comfortable communicating technical information to homeowners.
  • Proficient with tablets, mobile applications, and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service territory.
  • Previous experience working in a virtual environment is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with HVAC, heat pumps, energy efficiency, weatherization, home performance, or residential construction preferred.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification, BPI Certification, HVAC licensure or equivalent technical credentials are a plus.
  • Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent field experience preferred.
