Business Development Director – CDMO

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prospect strategic targets with a focus on companies developing products utilizing xenograft biomaterials (fresh tissue, fixed tissue, and collagen), identifying opportunities aligned with our processing and manufacturing capabilities
- Develop Key Account Strategies aligned to clients’ xenograft sourcing, processing, and commercialization needs, positioning Evergen as a strategic CDMO partner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and internal processes
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration (R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing) to develop and deliver customized xenograft-based solutions
- Translate xenograft platform capabilities (e.g., decellularization, fixation, collagen processing) into customer-specific value propositions
- Identify and shape opportunities where xenograft materials can replace or outperform alternative biomaterials, driving differentiation for customers
- Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company and high levels of client satisfaction
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Prepare for and represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events to promote our capabilities and expand our client base
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance to senior management
- Leverage CRM tools to maintain documentation of account planning, prospects, and pipeline development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the medical device industry, including at least 2 years within a medical device CDMO environment
- Deep understanding of xenograft biomaterials, including fresh tissue, fixed tissue, and collagen (fibrillar, solubilized, or formulated), and their applications in medical devices
- Experience working with xenograft sourcing, processing, or manufacturing (e.g., decellularization, sterilization, or collagen processing)
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
