About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Liaise with underwriting and management in support of the international book of business
- Collaborate with underwriters on technical assessments and exposure analysis
- Perform transactional actuarial pricing analyses
- Conduct lines of business studies, profitability reviews, portfolio management, and ad-hoc modeling
- Work with the Solutions team to develop and test new reinsurance pricing models
- Improve existing pricing models
- Work with actuaries across International branches to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices
- Support other global reinsurance pricing teams as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Actuarial, Math or Science related degree
- Excellent computer/data manipulation skills
- 1–5 years of P&C actuarial pricing experience; reinsurance experience is a plus
- Demonstrated progress toward an actuarial designation by a recognized body
- Experience in project work and tool development
- Ideally, line of business experience in Latin America, Caribbean and/or Middle Eastern markets
- Experience with Python and/or R
- SQL and programming skills are a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency preferred
- Ability to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Business-oriented, motivated, self-directed, organized, and analytical
