About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a strategic partner to underwriting and executive leadership in driving profitable growth, portfolio optimization, and achievement of financial objectives
- Shape and execute the North America pricing strategy across Wholesale & Specialty businesses
- Lead development and implementation of product and portfolio pricing strategies through close partnership with underwriting leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to optimize portfolio composition and risk-adjusted returns aligned to Everest’s strategic and capital objectives
- Provide strategic actuarial insight and influence on underwriting appetite, business planning, and growth initiatives
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of pricing governance frameworks, methodologies, controls, and best practices across Everest Insurance
- Lead severity, frequency, and exposure studies to evaluate rate adequacy, claims inflation, emerging portfolio trends, and underwriting performance across the North America platform
- Lead portfolio profitability diagnostics and performance analytics to identify opportunities for underwriting, pricing, and capital optimization
- Lead the advancement of pricing analytics capabilities through modern actuarial, predictive analytics, data science, and AI-enabled techniques
- Ensure development, calibration, enhancement, and governance of pricing models aligned with Everest return on equity targets and benchmark pricing expectations
- Drive modernization of pricing infrastructure, data environments, tools, and underwriting workflow integration
- Support transactional pricing and analysis of large and complex risks
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing organization through talent acquisition, mentoring, succession planning, and career development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Act as a transformational leader and agent of change driving modernization and continuous evolution of pricing capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Credentialed Actuary; Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 12 years of actuarial pricing and leadership experience within commercial insurance
- Significant experience in specialty and wholesale insurance markets strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading pricing transformation, modernization, or advanced analytics initiatives preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, R, and modern analytical/data visualization tools preferred
