About the role
- Play a key role in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of two HR Generalists supporting multiple business units
- Interpret, apply, and enforce HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Oversee complex employee relations issues and ensure resolution in alignment with legal requirements and company values
- Counsel managers on setting performance goals and conducting evaluations; support managers addressing performance issues and developing improvement plans
- Manage the exit process for departing employees (prepare separation agreements and manage offboarding procedures)
- Use HR data and metrics to inform decisions, identify trends, and improve outcomes
- Build and leverage partnerships with HRBPs, Legal, Payroll, Benefits and other people-related functions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Mentor and develop a high-performing HR team; act as a thought partner to business leaders and report to the VP, People Operations and Rewards
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a people management role
- Proven success in a high-growth, fast-paced environment—ideally in tech or software
- Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, and coaching leaders at all levels
- Strong expertise in global employment laws and compliance, with emphasis on the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust
- Strategic mindset with strong operational execution skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy, sound judgment, and discretion
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- HR certification preferred (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
- Proficiency in Office 365 and HR systems; Workday HCM experience preferred
- Experience leading a remote team and/or supporting leaders located in multiple time zones
- Must be eligible to work without sponsorship
- May require travel to Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or other North America offices
