About the role

  • Enhance EvenUp’s AI-native and expert-review document workflows.
  • Implement and integrate LLM-based solutions to improve customer outcomes.
  • Develop systems to evaluate the efficacy and quality of key customer deliverables.
  • Contribute to the evolution of AI-driven document products at the cutting edge of innovation.
  • Collaborate with company leaders on mission-critical opportunities to supercharge the EvenUp engine.
  • Uphold a high-quality engineering bar, applying data-driven insights to create exceptional customer experiences.
  • Contribute to end-to-end AI-native workflow development, integrating SaaS and AI applications, and rapidly prototyping features.
  • Collaborate with founders, PMs, and designers to brainstorm, scope, and launch new features.
  • Establish engineering best practices and lead architectural design; build user-facing experiences, services, APIs, and systems.
  • Deliver secure, compliant code for sensitive data; maintain software quality through testing, reviews, and ongoing optimization.
  • Mentor team members, contribute feedback, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, address operational issues, and document processes to align with company and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance.
  • Proven proficiency in Python or other languages such as Go, Java, Node.js, or C++.
  • Track record of delivering production-ready code, RESTful APIs, and managing infrastructure to industry standards.
  • Experience leading complex projects from concept through deployment, with clear, structured thinking and technical leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, such as startups, with strong collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a history of successful cross-functional teamwork.
  • Strong ownership, creativity, and initiative—driven to solve problems and deliver results autonomously.
  • Bonus: Experience in AI, legal tech, or social impact projects.
