About the role

  • Full stack Software engineers to join us in our mission to bring the world together through live experiences; build features, design APIs, and scale our product.
  • Work in small autonomous teams owning services and roadmaps end-to-end including on-call rotation.
  • Contribute to engineering culture through inclusivity and mentorship; participate in pair programming, weekly demos, tech talks, and hackathons.
  • Use and evolve tech stack including Python, Django, MySQL, AWS, React, Redux, with transition to Kotlin, DynamoDB, Lambdas, etc.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building applications at scale in at least one popular programming language, such as Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, etc
  • 2+ years of experience using some form of web framework: Django, Symphony, Rails, ASP.net, etc.
  • Proficient experience using a SQL database
  • Experience managing infrastructure on a platform like AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Knowledge of microservices and/or service-oriented architecture
  • Efficient, practical programmer, designed and producing dependable code
  • Care about making sure your code is maintainable and well tested
  • Results-driven self-starter with great communication and collaboration skills
  • Enjoy teaching and mentoring colleagues
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to write readable, testable code
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ownership mindset and ability to be part of an on-call rotation
