• Support the industrialisation and commercialisation of space technologies, products and services.
• Enable the development of integrated downstream applications and solutions.
• Drive international market expansion for European space companies.
• Strengthening the position of European industry in the global space economy by enabling international partnerships and supporting the global expansion of European space capabilities.
• Foster the scaling-up on global markets.
• Facilitate access to private and public investments and finance for European space industry.
• Oversee key ESA programmes designed to strengthen commercial competitiveness.

Director of Commercialisation and Industry Partnership

Engineer

• Report to the Head of Section
• Participate in feasibility studies for specifications and analysis of industrial proposals
• Provide functional support to spacecraft and payload projects
• Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution
• Perform structural analyses as required
• Participate in major reviews of spacecraft, launchers and payloads
• Establish and evaluate specifications for development and qualification of spacecraft system and subsystem structures
• Support Agency standards and technology R&D programmes
• Monitor scientific and technological trends

• Managing activities relating to telecommunications ground and user segment technology and products.
• Initiating, monitoring and controlling activities relating to ground and user segment product development for satellite communications.
• Managing the implementation of activities relating to ground and user segment products.
• Assessing business cases and market assumptions of industry-initiated ground and user segment product development activities.
• Conducting industry roadmap meetings on ground and user segment products.
• Identifying and defining product needs and innovation opportunities in the ground and user segments of satellite communication systems.
• Supporting market intelligence studies and contributing to strategic initiatives relating to the ground and user segments of satellite communication systems.
• Supporting the promotion of the Directorate’s programmes and socioeconomic impact analysis.
• Coordinating expert technical support provided by other ESA organisational units as required.
