About the role

  • Identify and target key financial institutions across Latin American markets including investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and law firms
  • Build a reliable and repeatable sales pipeline across Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets
  • Develop deep understanding of local regulatory environments, market structures, and client needs across LatAm
  • Conduct client demos and presentations in Spanish and/or Portuguese as required
  • Run successful and well-managed trial processes adapted for LatAm market dynamics
  • Build a clear understanding of 9fin's value proposition and communicate this effectively to regional clients
  • Negotiate and close new business while optimizing for local market pricing and contract structures
  • Develop expertise in Latin American debt capital markets, including local bond markets, credit structures, and regulatory frameworks
  • Understand competitive landscape and position 9fin against regional and global competitors
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure 9fin's LatAm data coverage and functionality meets local client needs
  • Maintain clear record-keeping and forecasting via Salesforce
  • Adapt global sales processes for local market requirements and time zones
  • Share market insights with senior management to inform LatAm expansion strategy

Requirements

  • Native fluency in both Spanish and Portuguese (strongly preferred) or native fluency in Spanish OR Portuguese with excellent business communication skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English for internal collaboration and global client interactions
  • 3-5+ years of relevant Account Executive experience in Capital Markets, B2B SaaS Sales, or Business Development
  • Strong knowledge of Latin American financial markets including understanding of local debt capital markets, regulatory environments, and institutional investor landscape
  • Established network within LatAm financial community (preferred)
  • Track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets (preferred)
  • Experience selling financial technology or data solutions to institutional clients (preferred)
  • Understanding of debt capital markets, credit analysis, or fixed income products (preferred)
  • Ability to plan and prioritize important tasks while working with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both native language and English
  • Self-motivated team player who can also work effectively independently
  • Cultural sensitivity and understanding of business practices across different LatAm countries
